I am not a club person. I have, however gone plenty of times with my girlfriends to hang with my girls and one of the biggest decision makers on which club we would go to besides location would be price of admission. If we found a club that had ladies free before whatever time or even ladies half off, then that was our club for the night. Sound like a plan. This generosity to the ladies, usually leads to their being an increasingly uneven amount of women in the club versus men. You know how guys call places filled with men a sausage fest? Well most clubs are the complete opposite.
I have yet to hear one man, wait, one heterosexual man complain about there being too many women in a club or about the club showing favoritism in the admission price towards women until anti-feminist lawyer’ Roy Den Hollander. This gentleman says that singles clubs that give women any discount in admission price are violating the constitution. The Manhattan lawyer left the court with a sad face after The Second Circuit Court of appeals made the decision that the state has no control because “liquor licenses are not directed related to the pricing scheme at the door.” The court, with evident amusement, said it must rule against Den Hollander even though “without action on our part, (he) paints a picture of a bleak future, where ‘none other than what’s left of the Wall Street moguls’ will be able to afford to attend nightclubs.” Eww, he sounds bitter and like he might have “mommy issues”. I wonder is he married?Den Hollander, who sued the Copacobana, China Club, Lotus and others, blames militant feminists for the ladies-pay-less door policies – not prowling promoters trying to lure women to the clubs.”The guys are paying for girls to party. I don’t think that’s fair,” Den Hollander said. “It’s a transfer of money from the wallets of guys to the pocketbooks of girls.”He vowed to appeal to the Supreme Court. Asked to estimate the odds that the high court will agree to hear his case, Den Hollander said, “about the same as some pretty young lady paying my way on a date.”
Damn he sounds bitter. He must be single. News flash! Of course men go to clubs to see, and hopefully find a woman to sleep with them. Besides liquor that is the main point of any man going to a night club. You think that any heterosexual man would go to a club that was free if there were no women there? Hell no. Which is why night clubs have these deals in order to lure in both sexes. Why is this an issue for Hollander suddenly? Didn’t he get the memo? Any man who does not agree with this can always stay at home and pet his cats. It is a night club not a hospital, grocery store, or some other establishment that is necessary in your daily survival. You don’t HAVE to go to a club to live. So, if you disagree with the system in play at clubs then don’t go to any. It is just that simple. A night club is a form of entertainment not a necessity of life. As far as women paying lower admission fees, I don’t know if I would go as far as calling it sexist. Sounds like strategic marketing.
Up For Discussion:
Any guys feel that this is a sexist move by the night clubs? Does it bother you that women receive any cuts on admission price? Would you still go to a night club if less women were there?

@ Hollie
Hollie, you are a wonderful person for advocating real equality, and not cherrypicking only what benefits you, as most women have done here.
The shaming language from some of these women is sickening. It is evident not only in the comments, but in the article as well. Ad hominem attacks are always an indicator of a rebuttal that lacks substance.
True equality will never be accomplished until women take the good with the bad. Match our numbers in the blue collar industries; match our numbers in workplace deaths; marry down as often as men do; match men in the number of first dates initiated; always go Dutch; allow men to become 50% of the stay-at-home parents while the women fight in the cold, cruel ratrace; I could go on and on.
