After 60 years of marriage, (jeez just saying that made me tired, its beautiful but still tiresome) Katherine Jackson and Joe Jackson are officially divorcing. The two have been separated for 5 years but recently Katherine said that Joe pulled the last straw. Mr Jackson, who was accused of abusing Michael as a child, said in June: ‘I begged her to go over and stay with him, but she insisted he needed his privacy.’ Grandma Katherine was outraged by this. Mrs Jackson retaliated, saying through her spokesperson: ‘Joe Jackson’s statement and conduct toward Mrs. Jackson are outrageous.’

Referring to the abuse of their children, the spokesperson then said: ‘The world also knows who Joe Jackson is and he seems bent on never letting us forget.’ According to the Daily Star, Mrs Jackson considered the attack as the final straw.’She’s been humiliated by him for too long. She’s absolutely livid. There’s no going back.’ Katherine has stayed in this marriage because as a Jehovah Witness, she does not believe in divorce. However she is now set to file for divorce.

This is proof that it is never too late to release yourself from an unhappy marriage or relationship. Although I would not suggest you invest 60 years into any man who is not worthy. At any rate, hopefully now Grandma Jackson can find the happiness that she deserves. I wonder how Michael would feel about this if he were here? Chances are he would be happy for his mother because he never was a fan of Joe Jackson and was extremely protective and close to his Mom. Plus its not too late for Granny Katherine to get her a new man.. Sheeeet…
