The internet has been Lady Gaga buzzing after her release of her video for the single “Telephone” and MTV’s subsequent ban on it. It was originally reported by CNN that the Execs banned the video due to its sexual nature. Well the rumors are swirling now as MTV manager of programming, Tuma Basa, has hit back at the reports. In a post on his Twitter.com page, he writes, “The reports are false… the video’s been airing since Friday morning on AMTV.”
Who to believe? Honestly, I do not have a strong opinion of the video either way. Although I did think it was entertaining, at the same time I felt as though it was trying too hard to push the envelope. Just pulling all types of foolery and useless chaotic scenes that made no sense for the sake of being “different”. Sometimes this can work to an artists benefit and sometimes it appears desperate.
What do you say?
