Grammy winning rapper Curtis “50 Cent” reportedly just signed on to play a football player in the upcoming film Things Fall Apart. Jackson will produce the film and Mario Van Peebles will direct.
Project’s scheduled to begin five weeks of lensing in May in Michigan with Mario Van Peebles directing from a script by Jackson and Brian Miller. The film centers around a star football running back, played by Jackson, who suffers from cancer during his senior year in college.
“Fifty is in the process of losing 65 pounds” for the role,” the film’s co-producer, Randall Emmett told Daily Variety.
I personally think Fifty looks too old to play a college student but hey! The magic of movies, anything is possible. He seems to be taking acting very seriously. Not everyone is willing to loose weight for roles.
