While surfing the web this weekend I came across some old rare photos of a Dorothy Dandridge shoot that was done for Ebony in June of 1962, right before her death. I loved the photos because they showed a more human side of Dorothy. I love when artists, actors etc allow their more human side to be shown. It is not an easy thing to do because in essence you are opening yourself up and exposing parts of yourself that many may not see when you are performing. You are vulnerable in that sense. Side Note: For those who were wondering if I am giving the Black history facts and tidbits because it is Black history month the answer is no. I plan on making this a regular addition to the content. So no need to fret! I find interesting Black history facts like these inspiring. What a wonderful culture and people we derived from. Don’t you think? For those who have no clue as to who this lovely lady was, here is her Wiki page.
