Oprah is a BOSS (in Kelis voice). What that means is that if you work for her, then she controls what you do at the office and outside the office. Real talk. Oprah has made all of her employees sign a contract stating they will not use their phones while they are driving. They cannot even use their hands free devices. Damn Oprah! She has made them sign that after taping a program that featured a young couple who lost their daughter after a man, who was talking on his cell phone, hit their SUV.
I understand her point in this and its intentions but I think there has to be line drawn. Whats next? Will she tell them what they can eat, or buy? This one is tricky because it is a slippery slope from looking out for the welfare of your employees and others and being controlling. Thoughts?
