Tyler Perry is being sued again. This time by someone who claims that one of the Gospel songs that was sang in an episode of Meet The Browns was written by him. The problem is the writer claim he was never paid for the songs usage. It’s reported that several characters sang the words, “The Devil thought he had me … but I got away,” in a 2009 episode of the show. Songwriter Johnny Tyrone Stringfield claims in his lawsuit that the lyrics came from his song, “I Got Away,” which he copyrighted in 2008. He has filed a $100,000 lawsuit last week in California District Court accusing Perry, cable channel TBS, and its Time Warner parent
