I have been wearing skirts for year and I feel free and liberated... To those who oppose it, you have no clue what your missing... And I always feel very manly in them and get compliment by men and women... I am confident enough in my sexuality to know that much... Loosen up people.

WoW. I agree - same old sexist thinking. What was not adressed was the fact of women raiding the mans closet for how many years. Actually starting in the 1920's. It was said that mens skirtwearing was in the BC era - Wrong. One could find men in skirts regularly as recent as 250 years ago. Should some women want men to only wear trowsers then those same women should throw away ALL of their pants!

Considering the recent developments in the Middle East and North Africa, I guess that we should put our mind to becoming used to men in gowns

I see many Muslim men in thobes or dishdashs and find it quite manly. NOthing about them says womenly. Maybe this is why they have no problem having babies, thier man parts are able to breathe and be loose. I would prefer that over watching men fix thier crotches all day.

I have no issue with men wearing whatever makes them feel comfortable as I too wear pants and use to attend churches were the women/girls are forced to wear skirts and dresses year round.

I know our history and togas, etc are sexy on men. People are going too far with this. Cross-dressing has nothing to do with this. That is a nother post all together.

Change is good and should not be feared. OPEN YOUR MINDS PEOPLE! It's not about men wanting to wear heels, just about them wanting to BE without the hassle, discrmination and ridicule. WOmen should know what this feels like yet we forget that we were once EXPECTED to dress and behave a certain way and did not LIKE BEING TOLD WHAT TO DO BY THE OPPOSITE SEX!

I agree, a "real" man does not have any problems wearing a skirted garment because he is confident about his person and sexuality. I can't speak for other men.
But I can speak about myself as a skirt wearer, and getting only very positive comments. I think it is always the way how you act when wearing a skirt.
I am a man and their is no change in my personality when dressed in pants or skirt. I wear almost all types of skirts, mostly with pantyhose/stockings, even during the winter season. If it is snowing hard I prefer pants because of wet legs.
I just can recommend to all men wearing skirted garments, you will love it and people around you, too.

David, nobody controls men's fashion in U.S.A. Just because nobody is interested to do so. What really is controlled is the business about clothes. If men's skirts become more mainstream, companies would switch right away because it would bring more money. Right now it is a risk for business to go with men's skirts. That's all, and looking around you'll see more and more men wearing skirts in public.
And I must say, those guys looking terrific in her new garment.

Okay, guys. A skirt isn't a female garment, it was and it is a typical male piece of cloths. Everybody knows it, and in western societies only women carried this for almost 200 years by themselves because men didn't want to go for it.
This time is over, and DJ try to open a discussion to find his own opinion.
There are thousands of blogs with the same issue, and the main questions still is not completely solved: why men don't wear skirts today.
They do, but often not in public feared being harassed. But there is no reason for that if this brave men coming up with that we call "manly" they will find open arms and ears.

Let some people looking strange, it is their right, let'm talk, it's their right, but don't give up your right to wear you want. Nobody has the right

There is definitely good news for the men - in - skirts movement. First, America is slowly becoming more and more athiest/secular, which is good because religion teaches sexism, homophobia, and in the past, racism. Second, we are becoming more of a socialist country. Look at Europe - it is mostly socialist/part capitalist and manskirts are MUCH more accepted there. As we become like them, we too will find more acceptance of this fashion trend. Until then, The U.S. will remain a dictatorship, with those who oppose the Constitution and Declaration of Independence thinking that they have a right to control men's fashion.

Matthew, it took me some time to comprehend yourt message, but basically you are pro skirt wearing by men and are of the opinion that narrowmindedness of some is a problem.

In addition you indicated that we would need someone else to controll the women, that is just what thwey have been fighting since the Sufragette movenment was found in the beginning of the 20th century, followed by the womenslib which been keeping persisting that they were kept beck. An as long such things are contiously propagated than the general public is tended to believe such. The method is called: Marketing! Same way as advertisements work, people tend to believe these more if they see the ad more often. reesult is that womenslib has gone beyond equalitty of rights, but they did not realise with some exeptions, that they were in charge already. Like Sophia Loren said, be good for a man and he will give you all you want, hence men are as wax in the hands of women. If anybody let it happen to men, it were men themselves, so we don't have anybody to blame but ourselves. One way of stopping womens lib is stopping being dependent of female companionship, there are sufficient people on this world already. If you want to show individuality etc., one method is by donning a skirt if you feel like it and don't blame others if you don't dare to show your own individuality and originality.
