Monique won another award. At Saturday night’s Screen Actor’s Guild Awards, Mo’Nique won the Female Actor in a Supporting Role Award. This comes only one week after winning the Supporting Actress award at the Golden Globes and at the Critic’s Choice Awards. She has to get on her knees every night and thank God that she decided to do this role. It has proven to be groundbreaking for her and it is giving her the doorway to be taking seriously as an actress. Do you know what that means? She does not have to limit herself to urban movies only. She can branch out and do everything! Producers and directors from all over now have her on their radar. Which in turn means ching-ching let the cash register ring!

Monique deserves every award she gets. Although Mariah Carey and Paula Patton did get some acclaim I did not feel that what they contributed was noteworthy. They could have been replaced by anyone and their roles would have been the same. They did not add anything to their roles. Monique however did.
