Beyonce has secured the title of Best Video of the decade according to Muzu.TV, which asked 2000 fans to vote on their choice of the top videos of the decade. Beyonce’s Single Ladies video beat out other established singers such as Madonna, Kylie Monogue and Cold Play.
I’m sure the Beyonce fanatics are going to come for me. I like Beyonce and her music. However, I was not impressed with the Single Ladies Video or any of the other videos that all had the same black and white concept with her wearing that exhausted leotard and two girls dancing with her. I found the video’s to be boring. Sure the song’s had alot of energy to them but the concept and its repetitiveness was not awe inspiring and not worth her winning this slot. A decade is a long time. I find it hard to believe that within ten years there was no other video that could upstage a black and white scenery with three chicks in leotards dancing. I dig the girl but even I can admit that the concept is not that fascinating. Feel free to disagree… Blah, blah.

Okay...Video of the Year? Sure, no problem! Single Ladies was like crack for me, I can't even dance and I learned every step and every move and got the routine DOWN! That vid is fierce...but of the decade? naw, no way...sure the list was a little lacking but Eminem's Stan was way more powerful and even if not that one, than SOMETHING was definitely MORE noteworthy of video of the decade than Single Ladies...I think voters were victims of relevency and time and the fact that most of the other videos were "so long ago" compared to Single Ladies. Single Ladies is fresh on the brain, so..yeah?
