I think that when a woman starts out with a man and helps him grow his career a’ la’ Angela Basset from Waiting To Exhale then ofcourse 10-20 years or something later when things are not longer working out she should receive a higher settlement. She has been there helping to build him and his life since day one. Kelis was not. 2. Their kid is not even old enough to go to school or even request toys. I’m sorry but diamond encrusted strollers are not necessary for a baby. I even think he should assure that his child’s living situation is up to standards but Kelis is dare I say, being greedy.

For a moment I thought Nas was going to take it laying down until recently it was revealed that he filed papers asking the judge to block Kelis from receiving the excessive amount of cash. Kelis is now seeking $17,225 a month in child support, $72,728 in spousal support, $29,522 in back child support and $281,571 in retro spousal support according to TMZ. He also filed for joint custody which I think is a good idea. More daddies need to step up. I can’t blame him. That is ridiculous. A baby is not a woman’s way to early retirement. I’m sorry.
