Who knew that Angela Lola luv and Karrine “Superhead” Steffans did not like each other? There has been a beef between the two brewing. Luv has no respect for Steffans because she feels that she gives video vixens a bad name by sleeping with the artists. I know that some people feel that all of the video chicks are hoes and everyone of them sleep with the artists but Luv says different. She also makes claim that no one knew Steffans before the book. I don’t necessarily think that we should generalize and assume that every woman in a video is a whore and is sleeping with the artists. I like to believe that there are some video chicks who are about their money and career and wouldn’t want to ruin it by giving themselves a slutty reputation. This is why I never hate on the women in the videos. It is their bodies and there is always a double edged sword to all behavior. You are in the latest rap video and it is played on MTV 100 times a day, not to mention you made some quick cash from it. Then there is the contrast. You have to deal with artists trying to get in your panties, competing with other women who do sleep with the artists and people assume you are a straight up and down hoe for even being in the video. I never knew life of a video girl was this complex. I guess.
I can understand where Luv is coming from. If I was a hard working video girl who never slept with the artists and then Steffans came along boinking every chance she got for a quick dollar it would upset me as well. It does help to perpetuate the stereotype that all video chicks sleep with every artist. Is it possible to be a self respecting video girl? Should Luv really expect more from Steffans or any other Video girl? Is it possible to take being a video model seriously as a career and not want to ruin your reputation?
Luv discussing why she does not respect Steffans

I wonder how many sistahs have read the story of Sarah Baartman. Her life story has really compelled me to teach my daughter about how some of the white community views the black woman. We are so much more than our hips, thighs, breasts, and vaginas. We are "mother earth", we are a powerful force in building the next generation. I want to teach my daughter that education is so much better than sexual satisfaction. Its too bad that some of us, dont wanna take the time to read about the past, so we are deemed to repeat it.
